Neurodiverse Teens & Adults

6 Week Love & Relationships Series for Neurodiverse Adults 21+ yrs - $400

Love and relationships can be joyful, confusing, and everything in between. This therapist-led 6 week mini series (2 hrs each class) creates a supportive, affirming space for autistic and neurodiverse adults to learn about love, communication, and connection—in ways that feel authentic to them. We’ll use real-world examples, visual supports, sensory tools, and role-play practice to help participants build confidence, social awareness, and emotional understanding around dating and relationship.

January 9th: Exploring Love & Connection

Objectives:

  • Create group safety and connection.
  • Discuss types of relationships and attraction.
  • Understand personal values and preferences in relationships.

Activities:

  • Icebreaker: “Find Your Closest Match” (participants pair using shared interests).
  • Mini Lesson: What is love? (visual presentation and open discussion).
  • Creative Project: “My Connection Map” collage (sensory art activity).
  • Reflection Circle: Group shares one word or image that represents love for them.

Take-Home: My Relationship Vision Work

January 16th: Communication & Reading Cues

Objectives:

  • Identify different communication styles.
  • Practice conversation starters.
  • Recognize verbal and nonverbal cues.

Activities:

  • Warm-Up: Compliment Circle (practice giving/receiving praise).
  • Lesson: Reading body language, tone, and facial expressions.
  • Video Modeling: Scenes of interest vs. friendship.
  • Hands-On Practice: Role-play short conversations.
  • Reflection: “How do I like people to to communicate with me?”

January 23rd: Boundaries, Consent, & Safety

Objectives:

  • Identify and express boundaries clearly.
  • Recognize green, yellow, and red flags.
  • Practice consent and self-advocacy. 

Activities:

  • Warm-Up: “Boundary Statements” matching game
  • Mini Lesson: Healthy vs. unhealthy relationship signs.
  • Role-Play Practice: Saying “no,” “I’m not ready,” and “I need space.”
  • Creative Project: Draw “My Safe Circle” — people, spaces, and boundaries.
  • Group Discussion: Why setting limits helps relationships thrive.

January 30th: Emotional Awareness & Regulation

Goals:

  • Identify emotions and triggers in social situations.
  • Learn tools for managing stress, rejection, and excitement.
  • Build empathy for others’ perspectives.

Activities:

  • Feelings Wheel Exploration: Identifying subtle emotions beyond “happy/sad.”
  • Sensory Lab: Participants test calming tools (textures, scents, music).
  • Scenario Practice: Handling disappointment, anxiety, or rejection in dating.
  • Creative Writing: “How I calm my heart” journaling prompt. 

Take-Home: Personal Regulation Plan + Emotional Tool

February 6th: Confidence, Self-Expression & Dating Skills

Goals:

  • Practice initiating and navigating dates/deep conversations.
  • Reinforce confidence, boundaries, and mutual respect.
  • Prepare for real-world experiences.

Activities:

  • Warm-Up: Sharing “Proud Moments."
  • Mock Date: Paired activities (introductions, small talk, showing interest).
  • Coaching: Real-time feedback with visual cue scales 
  • Reflection: “What makes me feel confident?”
  • Plan Ahead: Set goals for next week’s Valentine’s event.

Take-Home: Dating Readiness Checklist + Affirmation Cards

February 13th: Valentine’s Celebration on Connection & Diversity

Goals:

  • Celebrate progress and authentic connection.
  • Practice social engagement in a relaxed environment.
  • Promote belonging, acceptance, and joy.

Activities:

  • Interactive Games
  • Snack & Music Social
  • Affirmation Station: Write or exchange positive notes to group members.

Take-Home:

4 Week Money Matters Series for Neurodiverse Adults & Teens 17+ yrs - $200

The goal of this mini series is to help neurodivergent adults/teens understand and feel empowered around money — budgeting, saving, spending, bills, and financial planning — using clear, accessible, visual, and nonjudgmental teaching methods. This 4 week series (1.5 hrs each class) is intended to help neurodivergent individuals transitioning to independence and may be struggling with executive functioning, impulsivity, or abstract financial concepts.

March 6th: Money & Me: What’s My Story?

Objectives:

  • Explore personal beliefs, emotions, and experiences around money
  • Identify strengths and challenges in managing finances
  • Begin tracking where money goes with visual tools

Activities:

  • Money Check-In: Group discussion using emotion cards
  • Money Story Mapping: Create a visual mind map of early money messages
  • Visual Spending Tracker Intro: Use a color-coded tracker to see where money goes in a week

Take-Home:

  • Use the tracker for one week — no judgment, just observe and reflect

March 13th: Budgeting That Works for Your Brain

Objectives:

  • Learn what a budget really is (and isn’t)
  • Differentiate between needs, wants, and values-based spending
  • Create a personalized, flexible budget

Activities:

  • Visual Sorting Game: Group activity with cards labeled need, want, and value-based
  • Budget Building Workshop: Use provided templates or apps
  • Flexible Budget Practice: Build a mock monthly budget using real-life examples 

Take-Home:

  • Try tracking spending using your new budget categories for one week and reflect

March 20th: Bills, Banks, and Adulting Basics

Objectives:

  • Learn about different types of accounts
  • Understand how to read a bill or bank statement
  • Explore systems for remembering to pay bills and save automatically

Activities:

  • Bill-Paying Simulation: Practice using mock payment examples
  • Reading Real Statements: Learn how to spot key info on a pay stub, debit statement, or utility bill
  • System Setup Session: Explore executive-functioning supports — visual reminders, auto-pay, or “Money Monday” routines 

Take-Home:

  • Trial a system or reminder strategy

March 27th: Planning Ahead & Feeling in Control

Objectives:

  • Build confidence in long-term money management
  • Set a small, achievable financial goal
  • Learn strategies for avoiding overwhelm, impulse spending, or scams

Activities:

  • Goal-Setting Workshop: Each participant identifies a short-term goal 
  • Impulse Map: Explore what triggers “I want to buy it now!” moments and create coping plans
  • Money Safety Talk: Red flags for scams, protecting personal info online
  • Celebration + Reflection: Review progress, share what worked, what surprised you, and what’s next
